decor tips for home renters

as a current home renter myself, I totally relate to the feelings of not being able to create your home dream space or not being able to incorporate all the things you want because of space size, existing appliances, and landlord rules. but I am here to say that even though you may not be able to change everything you want- there are probably so many more ideas out there that you never even thought of to create a space you love.

here are my design tips for the renter:

1// paint will be one of the biggest changes for any home, but if you cannot paint-- don't worry!! a great solution to paint are wall decals, easy to put on & even easier to remove + no damage to the walls. voila!

2// rugs are your best friend. use rugs to cover up ugly flooring--  carpet, linoleum, wood, or tile can easily be covered up with a large area rug. If budget is a concern, look for plain inexpensive rugs that you can stencil & paint.

3// add color through pillows, drapes, throw blankets, lamps, & other furniture. with plain walls & flooring you can add interest and personality with colors, patterns, and textures in your textile accessories & lighting.

4// hang art work, mirrors, photo collages on your walls. add you own touch of personality with these things. you can also hang so many things with command hooks & velcro so you won't even have holes in the walls when you leave! awesome.

one of the best home rentals I've seen is from my friend morgan who currently lives in new york city, her and her husband found a place that was a great location & price however it was very old. they worked out an arrangement with their landlord & were given the green light to actually change/update a bunch of things. being an interior designer herself and on a small budget you can see what they came up with-- it is quite amazing.

  2. When I got home, I noticed that she had left me an email at 10:13AM to cancel. An email an hour before a showing isn't what I'd call sufficient notice. how to delay eviction
